Installation Steps

Install Build Dependencies

sudo apt install -y make git gcc g++ bison flex device-tree-compiler mtd-utils zip unzip lz4

Clone SDK

git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/milkv-vega/vega-buildroot-sdk

Tip

Currently, the official repository build fails. You need to manually update m4, fakeroot, and autoconf. Community developers have already fixed this issue. Please use the following repository until the official one merges the PR or fixes the issue: git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/michaelfuckner/vega-buildroot-sdk

Build Firmware

cd vega-buildroot-sdk/
./build.sh

Note: The first build process will connect to GitHub to automatically download the required toolchain. Please ensure your internet connection is stable.

After a successful build, three images will be output to the out directory:

out/

├── kernel.bin
└── ubifs.img

Expected Results

Successful build and normal startup after flashing.

Actual Results

Build failed using the official repository source code.
